Nuclea and Clark are establishing alveolar macrophage cell lines from the mutant HPS mouse. These cell lines will be used to discover biomarkers of lung fibrosis and other inflammatory diseases, as well as to develop bioassays of lung fibrosis and other models of inflammation, including asthma, emphysema, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
